...the designer must be able to see - make a concentrated effort to absorb the essence of the project or room. Seeing is a very difficult thing to do. Most people "look" at a lot of things but never "see" anything. Looking is emotional; seeing is an intellectual process.

The terms "interior designer" and "interior decorator" are often used interchangeably, as if they were identical professions. And while both may have the ability and talent to create beautiful rooms -- as well as roles that often overlap -- the two are not synonymous.

We can never control what life throws at us, but we can most certainly control how we react. We can choose to see things or do things one way but never manage to figure out why we are stuck or why the same results happen again and again. We can learn through coaching ourselves and looking at things in a different perspective and try to approach things in a new way. Undoubtedly a different result will occur.
